My Resume

Aw shucks, so I'm a computer weenie, without tape on my glasses or a pocket protector. Hey, it's my job, the thing that puts money in my pocket and food on my table, sent my kids to college, allows me to live in this 'lap of luxury', and, oh yes! pay taxes.

But every time I get the opportunity I engage in the things I love the most - scuba diving, climbing, prospecting, and of course I just love house-hold chores (I probably have the worlds longest 'honey-do' list).

But, prospecting, actually 'rockhounding', is my very most all time favorite, and whenever I'm sent out on a deployment (computer stuff, again) to some far off place, I try to fill my spare time playing in the dirt and digging up rocks - well, not just any rocks, I have this fascination with Topaz and to date I have some very, very nice specimens which (thumbs in lapels and proud look on face), "I dug up with my own hands". Someday I'll post the picts and tell the stories - I got tunza them.

I've spent a good deal of time tramping around Topaz Mountain in the desert of Utah - I did my best to try and level it but it's so damned big - and the Tarryalls in central Colorado. Mostly alone, once or twice with companions.

I've worked other places; Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Wyoming, Texas, and Maryland - believe it or not they all have Topaz - but nothing has come close to my experiences (and adventures), in Utah and Colorado.

I've spent some of my fondest moments sifting through rocks and dirt - communing with nature, braving the elements, climbing, falling ...

Oh, well.
