It has been very good training for finding and plotting deeds and tracing ancestors (and relatives) through deeds and such.
I'm currently (in my spare time) working on plotting the original land patents of Harford County (which used to be Baltimore County), Maryland. Trying to put the information on the local tax maps so that, sooner or later, residents will be able to see what Land Patent (issued by the Lords Baltimore) their property was part of.
It's an abitious undertaking to say the least. You can see some of the work in the Time After Time section of the site.
