I THINK HE MADE IT SNOW

I think he made it snow that day
That late day in December
I really think he made it snow
It's now hard to remember.

How cold it was and snowy white
The town was all around
It usually was a day of joy
Where smiles and laughs abound.

But on this day, this Christmas Day
The joy faded away
As the day wore on and thoughts returned
To the one who couldn't stay.

We'll never see that smile again
In his voice or on his face
But only in our memories
That gifts could not replace.

While looking out that snowy night
A thought quickly appeared
You see it hadn't snowed this date
For many, many years.

It was a gift that only they
Could muster from above.
Nothing else could better fill
The need for all that love.

The snow was all around us
And it truely was as if
Todd was right beside us
In the wind and in the drifts.

He was in the snowflakes
That danced across the sky.
He was in the snowflakes
That melted in our eyes.

He was truely everywhere
So peaceful and complete.
We feel that when we need a hug
The snow is what we seek.

So was it Todd or was it God
Or both, I do not know.
But when you feel you need him close
You too can make it snow.
